    The  Personalized Activities Specialist/Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day to day delivery of resident centered activities and programs in our homelike environment at Cottagewood Senior Communities.     • Assists in maintaining a balanced resident centered activity program for the Cottagewood community
    • Assists in preparing the activity calendar and newsletter with the coordination of immediate supervisor
    • Conducts and/or assists with planned resident activities, programs and services throughout the community
    • Assists, invites and encourages residents to participate in activities
    • Assists in maintaining an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, programs and craft services
    • As applicable, responsible for daily care of any animals and/or plants within the activities program and services

    Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance

    • Demonstrates proficiency and understands essential quality service standards pertaining to enriching resident centered activities and  partners with community team in striving for excellent quality care & service
    • Partners with community team to ensure community follows all federal, state, local laws & regulations & Gentle Touch Health Initiatives quality standards for resident care and services

     Resident Focus

    • Reviews, reads, notates and initializes the Daily Log and Department Log to document and learn about pertinent information and any resident’s physical and behavioral changes as well as activities information
    • Practices positive resident relations; responds to resident requests and directs resident feedback and requests to immediate supervisor
    • Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times

    • Committed to serving our residents and guests



    • High School graduate or GED
    • One (1) year job related experience preferred in senior living communities          
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities
    • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
    • Competent in organizational, time management skills
    • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
    • Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in a resident’s best interest
    • Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following community procedures and guidelines and have the ability to follow through on assigned tasks
    • Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel),with the ability to learn new applications
